For my
grandmothers obituary she did not want a long detail of her life. What she wanted was a
listing of the things that were important to her. Her legacy is the family she led and loved. Even in death, she thinks of her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
I think this is a lovely sentiment, but I think you should write up a life history of your own, for your own records. While it is easy to get lost in the roles of wife and mother, it important for those left behind to know the stories and details about the woman that made her so great at what she did. Also, these stories passed on and on and on help all of us here as we struggle to figure out what the hell we are doing! :)
